From the Journals: DAY 34, March 29

Coach

Damascus, VA - VA 600: 23.5 mi

Manager Mike has graciously offered to slack pack us for a few days to give us a recovery period, while still getting mileage done. The day turned into a glorious day. Buzzard's Rock provided an excellent view. About a half mile away from the pick-up point, Manager Mike scared the heck out of us after jumping out from behind a tree. There is nothing to say other than he got us good. However, on a positive note I did get my walking stick up in a defensive position rather quickly. I haven't been scared so good in years.
